The
Jerusalem Convention starts with the joyous proclamation
of the forgiveness and salvation from the Heavenly
Father, who “so loved the world that He gave his only
Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish
but have eternal life” (Jn 3:16). Salvation in Jesus
is experienced through a radical turning away from
sin and turning to God in repentance. This offer of
salvation was the first preaching of Jesus Christ
as well. “Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand”
(Matt 4:17). Praise
the Loard for all the blessings which he has showred
on the day of convention
In
first day of convention was lighted the candle and
inaugurated by Joseph Paster NeelamKavil,Ex.Bishop
.After noon session is handled by Pro.K M Francis
with his class about GOD’S Love
On
Second day ,the most grace full day by the presence
of His grace Mar MAR ANDREWS THAZHATH,Arch Bishop
of Trichur archdiocese , had given the urgent call
for New Evangelization in the Retreat centres
. “I see the dawning of a New Missionary Age. The
urgency of the New Evangelization demands that the
Religious today…stay in the very vanguard of preaching.”
He added too.In the Second day of Jerusalem retreats
started with.And speech was delivered by Joshy karukkuty.’A
gradual growth from family to holy family’ was the
topic of his speech
In
the Third day was blessed with the presence of Fr.
Jerome cherussery, Provincial of Devamatha Province
.Thomas Kurian leaded the after noon session
And
the last day Rev.Dr.Antony karayil , Prior General
of CMI Congregation was our good patron. Alexander
Jacob (I.G ,Police Training college) shared his experience
to the audience about the help of God Almighty at
each and every critical situation he had faced in
his official life .
This empowering of the Holy Spirit is accepted as
a special grace to withstand the temptations of the
evil one and to defend and spread the faith by word
and action confessing Jesus Christ as the only Saviour
of Mankind.
With a heart full of Love and gratitude to God Almighty,
Convention 2008 is Wind up With the words of Psalmist’s
“O
gives thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
His steadfast Love endures forever “
