Founder director Fr. Davis Pattath CMI was born on 22 May 1951 to the Syro-Malbar catholic couple Anama and Devassy Pattath in Avittathur parish in the diocese of Irijalakuda, Thrissur district, Kerala state .After his school education, he joined the Devamatha province of CMI congregation .He had his Philosophy and theology studies in DharmaramVidya Kshethra, Bangalore ,the major seminary of CMI congregation.Fr Davis Pattath was anointed with special gift of conducting children retreat,Lay leadership camps and parish renewal retreats.He was ordained Priest on 24 April 1982 by His Excellency Mar James Pazahayatil, Bishop of Irinjalakuda. He served as the parish priest of Poonkunam in thrissur diocese from 1982 to 1985.While doing pastoral care in the parish ,God gave him an opportunity to identify the special spiritual needs of the people .

During these years he also served his religious congregation as the Provincial's secretary and superior of provincial house.While he was residing in Galilee Institute of Family counseling, chiyaram Thrissur in 1986 he gave shape to spiritual movement called Galilee Experience. The aim of the movement was to carry the word of god to the families ,parish and prisons. In the end of 1986. Fr. Davis left to Rome to specialize in the subject Catechetic of Pastoral care in the Salesian university. He took Masters degree in the subject effective communication .In 1990 he visited the Catechetical and Matrimonial Renewal centre in United States. He took part in spiritual retreat conducted at various renewal centers in Germany. All the programs deepened his divine knowledge and wisdom and personal God experience .On his return from Europe in 1992 he was elected Provincial's secretary for Pastoral Ministry and Mission. In 1993 with the permission and support of His grace Mar Joseph Kundukulam, bishop of Thrissur diocese Fr .Davis Pattath started Jerusalem Prayer Gruoup. This prayer group was the seed of Jerusalem retreat centre. Jerusalem is the spiritual gift,God gave to Kerala Catholics through Fr. Davis Pattath. He is the fonder director of Jerusalem Retreat Centre. The solemn blessing of Jerusalem Retreat Centre was on 8th Sept. 1995 Bishop Mar Joseph Kundukulam officiated the blessing ceremony.
